Haribol! Wecome to my little blog. My name is Prema-Rupa Devi Dasi. I have been an initiated disciple of H.H Bhakti Charu Swami since August 16th 2008, I accepted second initiation on September 18th 2009.

I currently live in Miami, Florida with my beloved husband, Jagannath Krishna Das. We have two Deities, Sri Sri Radha-Madanmohan and Sri Krishna Kanhaiya-lal. I am just a humble pujari at our local temple New Naimisaranya, doing my best to serve my Guru Maharaj by following his instructions. Honestly, I would never go back to my old life. At least, not yet.

This blog is about me. About everything I love, about everything I see, everything I do. Its my journey, some days are good, some days are bad, some are Krishna Conscious, some aren’t. But I’m real and that’s the difference.

After all the nectar I posted about how devotees should interact with one another–with respect, humilty and Vaisnava etiquette fully in tact NOT enviously, materialistically, venomously, hatefully and disresepctfully–you then, with an obvious and glaring lack of krsna conscious understanding, make this dubious statement—“Im not sure which is funnier, the article or arjuna das’ comments”—about my belief in and devotion to Srila Prabhupada and his teachings. And to think that I actually enjoyed your blog.I now feel rather betrayed. I think some clarification from you is in order, no?

  3. Bhaktin Praveen Says:

    Hare Krishna Arjuna Prabhu,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Perhaps I should clarify what I was trying to say. Its not the content of your comments that I found funny. Actually, what you say for the most part is true. But it was the situation- the Hing is an obviously satirical and silly approach to the issues of ISKCON and you took it very seriously. Its just a stupid article. It was funny, and had some philosophical merit, but all in all, just a joke. I think its okay to lighten up once in a while, us devotees are known for being happy and pleasant, not grave and morose.

I do humbly apologize for my comment. And you are right, I do have “an obvious and glaring lack of Krishna Conscious understanding” I have never claimed to understand Krishna, in fact I’ll admit that in the 11 years that I’ve been in ISKCON, every time I thought I understood something, it turned out I didnt. Krishna is difficult to understand so I’ve given it up. Now I just chant Hare Krishna, read Srila Prabhupada’s books, honor prasadam and engage in kirtan- and if Krishna wants to reveal Himself to me then He is free to do so but if He doesnt, thats okay to, I still trust Him. Like Lord Caitanya says

    asliṣya va pada-ratam pinastu mam
    adarsanan marma-hatam karotu va
    yatha tatha va vidadhatu lampato
    mat-prana-nathas tu sa eva naparaḥ

I know no one but Krishna as my Lord, and He shall remain so. Even if he handles me roughly by His embrace or makes me broken-hearted by not being present before me. He is completely free to do anything and everything, for He is always my worshipful Lord, unconditionally.

Anyway, thank you for your comment and in the future I will be more mindful of what I say. And thank you for reading my blog. I didnt even know I had any readers, but since I do, I’ll try to post more often- though I dont really think that anything I say is even worth reading.

yours in service to Srila Prabhupada,
    -bhaktin praveen

    Hare krsna. PAMHO. AGTSP.

    Mother Bhaktin Praveen,

Thank you for the reply and clarification and I beg your forgiveness for my over-reaction and mental speculation when I erroneously and thoughtlessly characterized you as having a “glaring lack of krsna conscious undertanding”; I hope you accept my apology and excuse my own glaring and obvious lack of humilty.
And I do enjoy reading you blog. Associating with devotees–whether its reading their blogs and realizations on the web, hearing them give Bg or SB classes in the temple or rendering service to them wherever they may be–of Lord krsna is always nectarean. I consider myself fortunate when such opportunities arise.
    Thank you and hare krsna.
